DOCTOR/POLITICIAN TO SPEAK TO PLACER GOP GROUP
Auburn -- The Republican Congress of Placer County will be hosting an
event for Assemblyman Keith
Richman, who is expected to be a candidate for State Treasurer next year.
Richman gave up a 20-year medical practice and an $80 million health
care provider group to run for the 38th Assembly District in 2000. A strong
supporter of Governor Schwarzenegger, Richman serves on the Assembly Health
and Insurance committees.
Described as a “renegade” by more partisan colleagues for
his efforts at bipartisan efforts to pass budgets and deal with California’s
serious fiscal and structural problems, Richman has won praise for his
efforts. The California Journal described him as an “open-minded
independent problem-solver...”
Sacramento Bee Columnist Dan Walters said, “Keith Richman is the
sort of person who was supposed to be elected to the Legislature after
term limits loosened the grip of professional politicians...someone who
saw it as a civic service, not a lifetime career.”
Richman will speak to the RCPC on Friday, November 4th, 2005, at Lou
LaBonte’s Restaurant, 13460 Lincoln Way in Auburn, near the Forest
Hill exit off of I-80. Social time at 5:30, program at 6 p.m.
Food and drinks available. To help defray expenses, the cost is $15 for
advance reservations, or $20 at
the door. Please RSVP at (916) 786-6690.
